Do you know what an SRR Station is used for?

The BSF8-SRR Station is a control station from the BSF8 family and features an additional short-range radio function (Short Range Radio – SRR).

It transmits the timestamp of the last manual punching of any SI-Card via SRR to a receiver – for example, the new SPORTident LTE Modem.

In fact, the BSF8-SRR Station is the ideal partner for the LTE Modem. When punching manually, the BSF8-SRR Station sends the timestamp via SRR to the LTE Modem, which then transmits the data via the internet for live results.

When using a SIAC - for contactless punching, the SIAC itself sends the timestamp to the LTE Modem - if the station is configured as a Beacon Control and the setting “radio = send last record” is activated.

As a conclusion: The combination of the BSF8-SRR with the SPORTident LTE Modem enables real time punch data presentation independent if the runner makes a direct punch or uses contactless AIR+ mode.
